Whilst often we and the wider industry talk about the advances in digital technology and the data this generates, it’s not lost on us at Regal Gaming Technology the immense value of our people.
Our people who we believe are the best in our industry are vital in turning our sustained capital investment into real added value and in turn income growth across our entire customer base and as such it’s even more rewarding to see people develop their careers within our business.
As such we are immensely proud in announcing Paul Imrie’s promotion to the position of Account Director.
Since Paul joined us in 2000 he has continually developed his career with us to become a highly valued member of the team and as such we wish him every success in his new role whilst he transitions from his current role of BDM within the Preston Service Centre.
We took the chance to briefly speak to Paul about his promotion and his 22 years working for Regal Gaming:
Would you please give me a short summary of your journey within Regal Gaming?
I started in the industry 22 years ago as a workshop engineer and then a field engineer before becoming a Business Development Manager, it’s a role that I have enjoyed for over fifteen years. In that time, I’ve worked with several different customers in both the managed and tenanted sector and seen a lot of changes within the industry.
What does it mean for you to be appointed as Account Director?
I’m very proud to make the step up and become an AD with Regal, we are industry leaders due to a fantastic team and constant innovation of technology. I’m delighted to be joining an incredibly strong and experienced National Account Team and I hope I can add something different to the team.
What motivates you after all those years in the industry?
I get a real excitement from gaining new business from customers. I’m motivated by succeeding in a challenging industry where competition from other operators is very strong, so you must constantly be fighting and working hard to retain and gain business from the customers.
What do you like about working for Regal Gaming and about having to work closely with Regal’s customers?
As a BDM working out of Preston, it’s a role where no two days are the same. I have loved building long-standing and successful relationships with customers and seeing the rewards of that hard work. I’ve been lucky to work with some great people over the years that make me smile every day, it very much feels like we are a family unit.
Regal have been a very good to me over the years and have supported and encouraged my growth, I have been looking to further my career for some time but could only see myself doing that with Regal.
